The poster not only shows the changes
that have occurred during the fifty years between photographs,
but also commemorates the Fiftieth Anniversary of the 1939 Worlds
Fair. The fair can be seen on Treasure Island in the top photograph.
Both views are from Twin Peaks. The 1939 photograph is by Gabriel Moulin (1872 1945) and was taken with an 8"x10" view camera. The 1989 photograph by Stewart H. Bloom was taken March 3, 1989 using a 4"x5" view camera, red filter and TriX film. Copyright © Stewart H. Bloom. |
