Stewart Bloom
| San Francisco photographer Stewart H. Bloom has been photographing the changing scene of San Francisco since 1972. His Skyline poster documents the changes over 77 years. Other poster images are from archives of libraries, collectors and other photographers. Bloom's contemporary photographs of the city recreate the views of the earlier photographers. The photograph in the 1937 poster of Market and Powell Streets shows, as the late Herb Caen wrote, "...when the city was still alive, alive-o." |
