The Golden Gate Bridge is one of the most beautiful suspension bridges in the world. It links San Francisco to Mann County. The views from the bridge are as exciting as those of the bridge.

Actual bridge construction started on January 5, 1933. The bridge opened to pedestrians on May 27,1937 and to vehicular traffic the next day.

The Chief Engineer was Joseph P. Strauss. Plans for the bridge were by Strauss & Paine, Inc.
